What does ROI actually mean for you as an artist?

ROI stands for Return on Investment. Put simply: did you earn more than you spent? If you paid £1,200 for a booth, £300 for travel, and £200 for framing — that's £1,700 out the door before you've sold a single piece. If you sold £2,500 worth of work, your ROI is +£800. If you sold £900, you lost £800. Most artists don't track this. Most fairs don't want you to. We think you should.
